UK Pollen Calendar

UK pollen seasons at a glance
In the UK, pollen season usually begins in early spring and can continue into autumn. Different plants release pollen at different times:
Tree pollen season
Tree pollen is usually the first to appear, often from late winter to spring, depending on the weather. Common triggers include birch, alder, hazel, and oak. For many people, tree pollen marks the start of hay fever season.
Grass pollen season
Grass pollen is one of the most common causes of hay fever in the UK and typically peaks from late spring to mid-summer. This is often the most difficult period for people with pollen allergies, as grass pollen levels can become very high.
Weed pollen season
Weed pollen tends to be more common from late summer into early autumn. Nettle, mugwort, and dock are among the weeds that may trigger symptoms during this time.
